Firefighting sure has come a long way! The Historic Fire station No. 1 in San Antonio has seen a lot of history and has since been turned into a museum that focuses on the city’s history of firefighting.

Exhibits showcase the history of firefighting in San Antonio, with displays of antique firefighting equipment, including old fire trucks, helmets, and uniforms. You can also feel free to explore the museum’s large collection of historic photographs, documenting the history of the San Antonio Fire Department.

Admission is free! Admission to the San Antonio Fire Museum is entirely free, but donations are accepted to support the museum’s mission of preserving the history of firefighting in San Antonio.
