The Aquarium
The Downtown Aquarium Houston is a former fire station aquarium that offers an additional experience complex built in 2003 and unfolds over five acres. Overall, the complex offers 5 major themed areas, and an outdoor area with rides such as the 100-foot Diving Bell Ferris Wheel.
Houston’s largest and most famous aquarium complex offers a wide range of attractions for both young and old. With its almost 2 million liter water complex, the aquarium offers a biodiversity of over 300 animals from all over the world, but there is also a theme park on the downtown area Aquariums, with numerous rides and ways to have a great time.

The Stingray Reef
Here you can experience, touch and even feed stingrays up close. Get to know these fascinating animals, an experience you will not soon forget.
The shipwreck
Witness the sight of a sunken 1700’s Spanish galleon and be amazed by a coral reef built by marine biologists. Get up close and personal with a giant Pacific octopus.
Rainforest
Embark on an exploration tour through a tropical rainforest and view a variety of birds. You should avoid swimming in the waters of the rainforest if possible, get acquainted with the piranhas that live there, and you better spot the big boa from a safe distance.
The Sunken Temple
You can experience the history of “Eldorado” the Sunken Temple, with its hidden tarantulas, scorpions and a 20 foot python, and be fascinated by the ancient Mayan culture.

Downtown Aquarium Tickets
The Downtown Aquarium offers a variety of bookable tickets. If you only want to enjoy the Aquarium exhibition, you can buy Aquarium Exhibit only tickets there, rides are not included and have to be paid for separately. But if you want to enjoy the full program, you can use the All-Day Adventure Pass to experience all the rides and the famous stingray reef in addition to the aquarium complex.
