Describing itself as the world’s largest marble exhibit, the Vermont Marble Museum in Proctor, Vermont, is dedicated to showcasing the history of Vermont’s marble industry.

Aside from the museum’s marble exhibit, another highlight is undoubtedly the guided quarry tour, which takes place inside an active marble quarry.

The museum is open from May to October and offers great insight into the Vermont’s quarrying history.
