The Belle Meade Estate is a historic landmark in Nashville, TN, that was once one of the premier plantations in the area. Founded by the Harding family, it was best known for its horse breeding and racehorse breeding.

Today, the historic property is an interactive history exhibit where visitors can explore the restored mansion, outbuildings and manicured gardens and learn about the history and lifestyle of the plantation.

The property offers guided tours of the mansion and other historic buildings. The tours provide more insight into the life of the Harding family, 19th century plantation culture and the history of slavery in the region. Experienced guides share fun facts and stories to bring Belle Meade Plantation’s past to life.

The Belle Meade Historic Site & Winery is also home to a winery where you can of course sample a selection of award-winning wines. The winery produces a variety of varietals including red, white and rosé wines. Here you can also take part in regular wine tastings to taste different varieties and learn more about the winemaking process.
