Miami’s Shopping Mecca
Whether you’re looking for shopping, dining or entertainment, you are almost guaranteed to find what you are looking for at Miami’s number one visited attraction. Bayside Marketplace is an open-air marketplace in Downtown Miami and is home to approximately 125 different shops, restaurants and other establishments.
Miami’s Bayside neighborhood has seen a lot of change since the 1970s. What once was a rather troubled district full of vacated warehouses, has since been turned into one of Miami’s trendiest places to be. Today, the stores of Foot Locker, Victoria’s Secret and Bath & Body Works line the pedestrian streets of one of Miami’s most hip places. Smaller boutiques round off the shopping experience – we’ll say: if you want something, you’ll find it here.
In addition to the shopping experience, there’s plenty of ways to relax and take in a fresh breeze from the sea. Restaurants, bars and small cafes provide you with a small snack or larger meal.
Biscayne Boat Tours Starting From Bayside Marketplace
It should come as no surprise that one of Miami’s top tourist attractions on Biscayne Bay is also the hub of numerous boat trips. If you also feel like getting to know Miami from the water, then a sightseeing tour is a good idea, for example, on which the various points of interest along the Miami waterfront are brought closer.
A boat tour on Biscayne Bay will never be boring. You can discover the fascinating skyline of Miami, watch the rich and beautiful sunbathe in their luxurious gardens on Star Island, or survey the hustle and bustle of the Port of Miami. And if you’re really lucky, you can even catch a glimpse of Florida’s diverse underwater world when you come across manta rays, sea turtles, or even the occasional dolphin.

Bayside Marketplace is also home to one of Downtown Miami’s newest attractions: Skyviews Observation Wheel allows you to marvel at Biscayne Bay from almost 200 feet above ground.
Best ways to get to Bayside Marketplace
As is well known, the traffic situation in the metropolitan area of Miami is anything but relaxed – and we don’t want to mention the parking situation. But have no fear, because there are plenty of options available for reaching Bayside Marketplace by public transit.
Metromover, Miami’s elevated train system, is a quick and easy way to get to Bayside Marketplace. All you need to do is to take the Metromover to Government Center Station, before transferring to the Metromover, which in turn is Miami’s free downtown trolley system. Get off at College/Bayside Station and there’s just a short walk left for you to reach the marketplace.
You can also travel by bus. There are multiple bus routes that stop at or near Bayside Marketplace. Checking the current transit map will shine a light on what bus to take from your individual location.
A much more interesting way to get to Bayside Marketplace would be to take a guided tour of the city.
