There’s no better place to learn about the history of bowling than at Arlington’s International Bowling Museum & Hall of Fame.

There museum allows you to take a deep dive in to the history of one of America’s favorite pastimes. Although you might be surprised to learn that the sport didn’t start just a couple decades ago. In fact, it can be traced back all the way to ancient Egypt, where wall drawings and relics from 3200 BC depict the first known instances of bowling in its very early form.

This little nugget of bowling history is only a small glimpse of what you can expect to learn more about at the Bowling Museum in Arlington, TX.

Getting to the museum is piece of cake. Its location, directly across the street from Six Flags over Texas, makes arriving by car super easy and comes with the added benefit of being able to pack two interesting Arlington landmarks into a single day.
