Telling The History of Stax Records
The aptly named museum tells the story of Stax Records, one of the major soul music record labels in the 1960s and 1970s. It presents the beginnings of the label, as well as its development and influence on the American music landscape. During your visit, you will get to explore the interesting history of soul artists such as Otis Redding, Isaac Hayes, Booker T. & the M.G.’s, Sam & Dave and many more.
