Honoring the Legends of Pro Football
The Pro Football Hall of Fame is located adjacent to the Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium, which hosts the annual Hall of Fame Game, traditionally kicking off the NFL preseason.
Its location in Canton, Ohio, is not by accident. It was here on September 17, 1928, that the NFL was founded, known as the American Professional Football Association.
The Hall of Fame opened its doors to the public for the first time on September 7, 1963, containing just two rooms. Today, multiple extension to the building have been added.
