America’s World Class Racing Venue
With the Circuit of the Americas (COTA), the Formula One World Championship has once again received a world-class motorsports venue in the USA after many years of absence. Previously, the United States Grand Prix was held on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway’s infield road course.
Located in Austin, COTA is not only home to the United States Formula 1 Grand Prix, but also host of other championships, including IndyCar, NASCAR and the FIA World Endurance Championship.
The circuit is just a 15-minute drive away from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.
Events at Circuit of the Americas
Since 2012, COTA has been the new home of Formula One in the United States. The most prestigious championship in motorsports returned to the States after a long dry spell. The event is held annually in October.
Other notable championship races include the annual MotoGP Grand Prix of the Americas, as well as occiasional outings of IndyCar and NASCAR.
