Back on the Calendar!
After a whole decade of uncertainty over its future, racing cars have finally raced in circles around Nashville Superspeedway again! The 2021 racing season saw the comeback of the 1.33-mile motorsports arena in Lebanon, Tennessee. It currently hosts a variety of racing events throughout the year, including NASCAR’s Cup, Xfinity, and Truck Series.
After closing down at the end of the 2011 racing season, the speedway underwent a troubled decade, full of uncertainty over its eventual fate. After various failed attempts of selling the venue to investors, a deal was finally struck and, after undergoing major renovations, the track reopened for the 2021 season, hosting its first NASCAR race in 10 years.
The speedway is located about 30 minutes east of Nashville, off of I-40. When flying in, Nashville International Airport (BNA) is the closest airport, located about 25 miles west of the track.
