New York’s Surfers Paradise
To be fair, beautiful beaches and sunbathing might not be the first things that spring to mind when thinking about New York City.
But then there is Rockaway Beach in the borough of Queens, which, as the only NYC beach with surfable waves, is highly regarded within the US surfing scene.
The easiest way to reach the Rockaway Peninsula from Manhattan or Queens is to take the A train to Beach 90th St. The station is just a short walk from the beach.
