Overview
Kazoobie Kazoos has been a manufacturer of Kazoos ever since its foundation in 1999. Since then, the Beaufort-based company has become of the world’s leading producers of the small plastic instruments.
In addition to its factory in Beaufort, South Carolina, Kazoobie also opened a museum that allows you to learn more about the kazoo’s origins, its cultural significance, and its journey from a simple homemade toy to a beloved musical instrument.
The museum offers up to four guided tours a day, taking place Monday through Friday.
On your tour, expect a presentation about the history of the kazoo, as well as a guided tour through the factory. Later on you will then have the unique opportunity to make your own plastic kazoo and take it home with you.
